About
UNSW Purity Test
What is the UNSW Purity Test?
The UNSW Purity Test is a checklist of experiences common to UNSW student life — from the tame to the chaotic. The more boxes you tick, the lower your score. Think of it as a snapshot of how eventful your time at UNSW has been.
How is the score calculated?
Your score is the number of questions you did NOT tick. A higher score means fewer experiences checked off — hence "purer". A lower score means you've been busy.
Is my data stored anywhere?
No. Everything runs entirely in your browser. Your answers and score are never sent to any server.
Is this affiliated with UNSW Sydney?
No. This site is made by students for students and is in no way affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to UNSW Sydney.
Where did the idea come from?
The UNSW Purity Test is inspired by the Rice Purity Test, a well-known self-graded survey that originated at Rice University. We adapted it with questions specific to the UNSW experience.
Should I take this seriously?
Not at all — it's for entertainment only. Your score says nothing meaningful about you as a person. Be safe, look out for your friends, and have fun.
